On the 17th of March 2006 at 11:30am, electric and magnetic field measurements were performed on Substation 3087 at Akritas Tower. This substation is located on the ground floor of the Akritas Tower building, Kleomenous street in Nicosia.
The substation is rated at a nominal power of 1000 KVA but the maximum observed values during the year were usually not greater than 800KVA.
At the time when the measurements were performed, the substation load power was recorded as:

The resultant load of all three phases was 28% utilization of the nominal load current.
Limiting exposure values have been provided by the ICNIRP recommendations and are guidelines to many countries and organizations. The exposure limits at 50 Hz are tabulated in the following table according to the limits given by ICNIRP.

Shop No.3 of Akritas Tower is situated on the ground floor of the building, directly above Substation 3087. Field measurements for this shop were performed on the 17th of March 2006 at 12:30pm.
The obtained measurements for the RMS fields strength inside and outside the referenced shop are shown in tables 5 and 6 respectively and a comparison is made with the ICNIRP recommendations.
