Miscellaneous - 3rd Elementary School Aglangia
On the 6th of November 2008 at 8:50 am magnetic field measurements were performed for the 3rd Elementary School Aglangia. The school comprises of a main building which includes mainly the teaching rooms, staff offices and a large garden area. The EMF measurements were performed inside and outside the room where the school electrical cabinets and distribution boards are located. The following figures provide pictures of the area where EMF measurements were recorded.

During the measurements all electrical equipment within the school was switched on to acquire measurements under the highest operating capacity.
Limiting exposure values have been provided by the ICNIRP recommendations and are guidelines to many countries and organizations. The exposure limits at 50 Hz are tabulated in the following table according to the limits given by ICNIRP.

The obtained results for the RMS fields for the 3rd Elementary School Aglangia are shown in tables 2 and 3 respectively. A comparison is also made with the ICNIRP recommendations.The highest magnetic field inside the room was observed in front of the electrical distribution board, with a value 10.2 μT and a percentage of 10.2% as compared to the ICNIRP General Public standard.

Accordingly the highest magnetic field value outside the room was observed at the front side (location of electrical distribution board and incoming cable), with value 0.03 μT and a percentage of 0.03% as compared to the ICNIRP General Public standard.
