On the 6th of February 2008 at 9:00 am electric and magnetic field measurements were performed for EAC Vasilikos Power Station.
Limiting exposure values have been provided by the ICNIRP recommendations and are guidelines to many countries and organizations. The exposure limits at 50 Hz are tabulated in the following table according to the limits given by ICNIRP.

The obtained results for the RMS fields inside and outside the power station are shown in tables 2, 3 and 4 respectively. A comparison is also made with the ICNIRP recommendations.

At the time when the measurements were performed the load of the unit transformer, which is rated at a nominal power of 14.5 MVA, was recorded as 6.6 kV and 601 A. From the resultant load we note that the utilization is only 48% of the nominal load (14.5 MVA Transformer).
Furthermore the Generator transformer which is rated at a nominal power of 130 MW had a load at the time when the measurements were performed of 120 MW. From the resultant load we note that the load is 92% of the nominal load for this transformer.
