The measurements were performed for the plot area near the Overhead Power Lines at 10:00 am during cloudy weather conditions. The EMF measurements were performed for the residence "Nicosia-Limassol old road, Mossfiloti" which is located in direct proximity to the overhead power line. The following gures provide pictures of the area where EMF measuremets were recorded.
Limiting exposure values have been provided by the ICNIRP recommendations and are guidelines to many countries and organisations. The exposure limits at 50 Hz are tabulated in the following table according to the limits given by ICNIRP.

Table 1: ICNIRP exposure limits for Occupational and General public exposure
The 1st overhead power line Alambra-Vasilikos No. 1 is of rated voltage of 132 kV and rated maximum nominal power of 145 MVA. At the time when the measurements were performed, the load of the overhead power line was 19.3 MVA. The Resultant Load of all three phases for the Alambra-Vasilikos No. 1 was 13.31 % utilisation of the nominal load power.
The 2nd overhead power line Alambra-Vasilikos No. 2 is of rated voltage of 132 kV and rated maximum nominal power of 145 MVA. At the time when the measurements were performed, the load of the overhead power line was 19.6 MVA. The Resultant Load of all three phases for the Alambra-Vasilikos No. 2 was 13.52 % utilisation of the nominal load power.
The highest magnetic field measurement was observed along the overhead power lines, with a value 0.370 μT (0 m away from the starting point, at 1.75 m height) and a percentage of 0.370 % as compared to the ICNIRP General Public standard. Accordingly a detailed description of the maximum measured magnetic fields in the area under investigation is shown in the table below.
The following table summarizes the magnetic field measurements taken in the area under investigation.
