On the 10th of April 2008 at 10:00 am electric and magnetic field measurements were performed for residence 3 Chrysostomou Smyrnhs Street in Larnaca. The measured residence is located in close proximity to 11 kV underground power cables which pass through the area.
During the period that the EMF measurements were taken the underground cable was not yet connected to the electric grid. Due to this fact, the underground cable does not contribute to the electromagnetic profile of the area.
The configuration and installation of the underground power cable are represented in the following figures.
Limiting exposure values have been provided by the ICNIRP recommendations and are guidelines to many countries and organisations. The exposure limits at 50 Hz are tabulated in the following table according to the limits given by ICNIRP.
