Pole Mounted Transformer - 10 Nikou Belogianni Street, Agia Napa

The measured pole mounted transformer/residence is located in Nikou Belogianni street in Ayia Napa. The measurements were performed on the 21th of July 2010 at 12:30 pm.

The pole mounted transformer is rated at a nominal power of 200 KVA. At the time when the measurements were performed the transformer load was recorded as:

From the resultant load of all three phases as shown above we note that the load is only 18 % of the nominal load (200 KVA Transformer).

Limiting exposure values have been provided by the ICNIRP recommendations and are guidelines to many countries and organizations. The exposure limits at 50 Hz are tabulated in the following table according to the limits given by ICNIRP.

The maximum obtained values are represented below and compared to the ICNIRP limits. The highest magnetic field inside was observed in the residence living room, with a value 0.237 μT and a percentage of 0.24 % as compared to the ICNIRP General Public standard.

Accordingly the highest magnetic field value outside was observed 2m away from the pole mounted transformer front side (1m from the starting point), with a value 0.215 μT and a percentage of 0.21 % as compared to the ICNIRP General Public standard. Additionally, the highest electric field value inside and outside was observed directly in front of the pole mounted transformer “Photiou Clinic”, with a value 6.45 V/m and a percentage of 0.13 % as compared to the ICNIRP General Public standard.
